The BMR Jail Commission shall have all of the powers and authority conferred upon it by the NC GS Chapter 153A-Counties, Article 10 Law Enforcement and Confinement Facilities, P-2-Local Confinement Facilities; and by concurrent acts of the Boards of Commissioners of the Counties of Bertie and Martin.
Term of Office
Three Martin County representatives: two appointed by the Martin County Board of Commissioners for 2 year terms, and a Commissioner Representative, with an ongoing term as long as they remain a Commissioner, and desires to serve on the Board. Additional members are appointed by Bertie County.

Fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.; alternating locations - the Martin County Commissioners' Boardroom in Williamston and the Bertie County Courthouse Conference Room, 2nd floor.
