The following services and programs are available:

General Transportation - A ride to buy groceries, to pay bills, to shop, etc. . .

Medical Transportation -A ride for scheduled doctor's appointments (48 hour notice required). .

Mid-day Meals - Mid-day hot meals served 5 days a week in a group setting (congregate meals) in 4 locations.

Home Delivered Meals - A hot mid-day meal delivered to the home bound elderly 5 days a week.

In Home Aide Respite Care - Relief for the caregiver. A certified nurse's assistant in your home to take care of your family member for 4 hours a week.

Health, Wellness and Exercise Program - Low Impact exercise classes offered throughout the county Health Promotion Specialist available to speak. on nutrition, diet, wellness and exercise. Commercial grade equipment available.

Alzheimer's Information - Educational information available. Scheduled presentations upon request

Information and Referral - If services are not available at the Martin County Department of Aging we can direct you to the right agency or organization to meet your needs.

Sitters List - Private pay Sitters fist provided upon request.

Caregivers Support Group - Monthly meeting held for individuals to share feelings and thoughts and to exchange coping skins related to care giving. .

Bargain Shop - Donated items available for purchase. Located at 212 Washington Street.

Living Wins - Declaration of a desire for a natural death. Forms and notary public provided. Appointment_ required.

Volunteer Opportunities - For anyone who enjoys volunteer work, participation Is welcome in a number ?f services and programs.

Monthly newsletter - Subscription $5.00. To keep abreast of older adults issues. .

Legal Assistance Referral Computer Classes

Educational and Recreational Trips - Scheduled one day trips.
